mGo is a MARI Toolkit created with the intention to help the Artists to develop the look of their textures and shaders together.

Bring the Mari viewport in line with standard shaders used in the industry today, mimicking the standards shaders from Arnold, V-Ray, and Redshift. We hopes with these additions, Mari could be a better look development tool.
The Custom Standalone GLSL shader closely mimics the look, internal math and also some of its functionality and familiar settings, with a python script that brings the possibility to export connections for Maya, sending all the data from the shader including their textures and setting up the shader network for you.

The idea emerge by our own necessity and vision of have better tools that could help the look development of shaders and texturing together as a whole, cutting off any stages of going back and forth between softwares, not to mention the time and effort spent in rendering times testing things up or checking the end result.

When you get textures and shaders in MARI ready, it's time to sent it to Maya so you could do a render test for check consistency before send the asset to the other department.
That's where the exporter script comes in handy.
To shorten up the time of setting up your shaders in Maya and brings in all the textures for your asset, the exporter script as developed with the intention to keep up with the production speed cutting the effort spent in possible boring steps of the process.

That's what it makes mGo the perfect toolkit for fast paced VFX houses.
